WORSHIP

We  have  in-person worship at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary.

Location

First Presbyterian Church is located at 710 Kansas City St. in downtown Rapid City. We are on the NW corner of 7th & Kansas City streets and the entrance to our worship space is facing Kansas City.

Parking

While we have a small parking lot on the west side of our building, there is ample free street parking nearby.
 

What to Expect
Arriving for worship, make your way up the steps to our sanctuary. If mobility is an issue, there is a door to an elevator near the south end of our parking lot. Upon entering the building, you will be greeted, given a bulletin and invited to find a seat inside. Our pastor and worship leaders will guide you through the service and many elements will be on the screens. Worship at First Presbyterian is traditional yet in a relaxed environment. If you are familiar with services from Catholic, Lutheran or Episcopal churches, you will recognize the different aspects of the service. A typical service features music with our choir and organ and congregational singing. A service usually includes prayers, scripture reading, a children’s message and a sermon from our pastor. Holy Communion is typically celebrated on the first Sunday of the month and our table is open to everyone. Services are usually about an hour. We look forward to meeting you soon.

What to Wear
What to wear: We are a welcoming congregation and you should feel free to come as you are. While some individuals may wear a suit and tie or a dress, you will often see slacks, jeans, button-up shirts or even t-shirts. Don’t worry, you are welcome here.

After worship, we welcome you downstairs for coffee and conversation!
