Mission & Community Collections
The Outreach Committee remains in contact with local non-profits, namely Church Response, the Hope Center, Working Against Violence and the Women and Children's Center of Cornerstone Mission, to monitor special needs as they arise. These needs are then published from time to time in the bulletin and weekly emails, so that, if members so choose, they can bring requested items along to worship and place them in baskets in the Narthex (entryway). The committee then coordinates deliver or distributes them to the agencies.
Typical items are: paper products, personal hygiene items that cannot be purchased with government-issues assistance cards, canned and packaged food, garbage and kitchen can bags, diapers, school supplies, etc.
Watch the bulletin and the weekly emails for occasional collections,
or contact the Outreach Committee, the church office,
or the church staff for more information!
